04/18/12: True Delta Kickstarter Campaign

TRUE DELTA is a cinematic snapshot of the Blues tradition that remains vibrant in and around Clarksdale, Mississippi–the renowned birthplace of the Blues. The film captures the excitement of festival audiences that come from all over the world and the sweaty bravado and skill of the Blues musicians and singers on stage.
Please contribute to our kickstarter campaign!

04/16/12: Young Bodies Heal Quickly

Had the very distinctive pleasure of working as Steadicam Op with dir. Andrew Betzer and DP Sean Williams on Young Bodies Heal Quickly this past week. Brilliant crew, stunning cast. The film is a triptych homage to gummosity, French New Wave and post-Vietnam integration pains, the golden years.

12/02/11: Lately

London, Lisbon, Seville, Gibraltar, Zurich, Grindelwald, Prague, Hamburg, Tel Aviv ————— It is still a long road to that tremendous overflowing certainty and health…to that mature freedom of spirit which is equally self-mastery and discipline of the heart and permits access to many and contradictory modes of thought…to that superfluity of formative, curative, moulding and restorative forces which is precisely the sign of great health, that superfluity that grants to the free spirit the dangerous privilege of living experimentally. – Nietzsche as quoted by Dr. Mike Lamb

07/24/11: Weekend Nature Doc Shoot

Roved through Central Park’s Rambles, the Rockaways and a few of Broad Channel’s dilapidated roads with a 100-400mm (read: really huge telephoto/zoom lens) shooting close-ups of some familiar and not-so-familiar creatures, all part of a nature doc that will steer clear of personification and focus on the intimate interaction that can occur with some animals at a distance in which they feel unthreatened. Intimacy at a distance. Reprioritization of nature doc content: Habit vs. habitat and movement vs. migration.
